Festival of Sharing

Thanks to the generosity Harper Chapel & Iberia UMC members & friends, we were able to collect the following items for the Share Fest.
                          60 blankets:
                          12 dental kits
                          3 baby bundles
                  $270 for the Heifer Project
We delivered all of these items to Tipton UMC, where we were warmly welcomed by an efficient team of volunteers who unloaded & bagged our contributions.
In addition, there were extra toothbrushes & toothpaste that our Clothes Closet volunteers plan to give to their shoppers, as well as extra diapers that will be donated locally to the Changing Table.
This was the first Festival of Sharing effort for Harper Chapel in about 15 years, and we are proud of our success. Next year?  If we get an earlier start, we can do even better!
Cheryl Fanning & Carol Weatherford (pictured) had fun counting blankets.

Our smiles reflect our appreciation!

Happy Birthday John Wesley!

Harper Chapel celebrated John Wesley's 323rd birthday on Sunday, the 28th.

We had a sheet cake made (1/2 chocolate and 1/2 white,

surely one of those flavors was his favorite),

sang Happy Birthday and cut the cake in the narthex area after service.

We even had Methodist red plates!

Pet Blessing In Osage Beach "Bark Park"

A “Pet Blessing” opportunity was held July 18th at the Bark Park in

Osage Beach City Park.

Approximately 15 dogs and owners were blessed by Pastor Eric.

Those that participated enjoyed talking to pet owners from the community

as well as some from Harper Chapel. Getting to pet some adorable dogs

was a bonus!

Come join us next time!

Take Me Out to the Ballgame!!

The United Methodist Men

got to enjoy a

Night at the Ballpark to

see the Springfield Cardinals

play the Wichita Wind Surge

on Wednesday, July 29.

The Springfield Cardinals won and the guys had a great time.
