It was another successful production from the youth group this year. They preformed The Grouch that found Christmas. A story of how our attitudes can change the attitudes of others around us. But when God opens our eyes we see that our situation is not as bad as someone else's. The play was preformed two times on Sunday December 16th, 2005. Once for Harper's congregation and a second time for Big Springs' congregation. The youth are selling a two DVD box set of both performances for a donation of $10.00. All the money goes to the youth group fund. Kids for Christ
Our youth group, Kids for Christ, as they like to be called, range in ages 2 to 13 (older youth are welcome). We meet every 1st, 2nd, and 4th Sunday evenings at 5:30pm (every 3rd Sunday is Family Night). we start the evening off with 20 minutes of Praise and Worship, listening to modern christian music. The kids then split into different age groups for classes. At 6:30 the kids break for Dinner and free time. Yes that is right, dinner! We do feed our kids. They have a free dinner every time, the menu is different every week. The parents that don't stay to help are asked to pick their kids up by 7:30 pm.
